I went to Sanminis as a special treat, expecting it to be rather expensive as the website does not have prices advertised. The restaurant itself has a ground and upper floor, catering for around 30-40 heads. The service was excellent. Staff were very attentive. There was a longer than usual delay for the food but this is prepared and made to order and i would rather have a reassuring wait to allow for this. The food was sublime. Portion sizes are smaller than the average indian restaurant would serve but for me, there was plenty and i was left feeling satisfied. I'm not your usual 'curry scoffing after guzzling after 10 pints of lager' kind of person so that probably helped. We paid around £35 per head for starter, main with accompaniment, pudding, wine and coffee. Fairly average prices i'd say. Go. You won't be disappointed.

Great place. Authentic South Indian food bursting with flavour. Small and intimate with owners who care about quality of food and service. Excellent all round. A great contrast to the standard UK curry house with their universal sauces. Each dish is individually prepared and presented.

One of the most pathetic restaurant I have ever been to.It is situated in a home and there were only four tables.The prices of the food were exorbitant( £12 -£13 for one main course dish w/o rice or chappati) and the quantity was equivalent to that of child's portion(i had to come home and eat again). Additionally the food was also not authentic South Indian and the taste was very average.And if you intend to go then be prepared to get ripped off and please go with heavy pockets there.

The tastiest, freshest food I have eaten in ten years! I could tell after one mouthful that I had found something very special. South Indian food, very different from your normal curries. Beautiful Restaurant with wonderful hosts and service - Heaven!

Extremely enjoyed my visit to Sanmini's, delicious food, fantastic service in a wonderful location. Different from any other Indian restaurant, all the food was freshly prepared and individually cooked to your taste. Cant wait to revisit such a fantastic restaurant.
